Introduction
Since the inception of neuromorphic systems, there has been significant progress in both manufacturing processes and bio-inspired artificial intelligence applications. Future neuromorphic systems promise to revolutionize fields such as neuromorphic computing, intelligent sensors, edge computing, and adaptive control by emulating the structure and functionality of biological neural networks. These systems offer efficient computational capabilities and low-power solutions, opening up diverse applications and commercial opportunities. To further advance the development of neuromorphic systems, there is a continuous demand for innovative manufacturing technologies and the integration of intelligent materials.
The aim of this special issue is to provide a platform to explore cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and sophisticated bio-inspired artificial intelligence applications in neuromorphic systems. We strongly encourage original work on new materials, novel structural designs, innovative applications, and advanced manufacturing approaches to enhance computational efficiency, intelligent sensing, human-machine interaction, environmental monitoring, and advanced flexible electronics.
