當地時間7月1日，泰國憲法法院決定受理對總理佩通坦的彈劾請愿，并暫停其總理一職。
當地時間6月20日，泰國國會上議院議長向泰國憲法法院提交彈劾總理佩通坦的請愿，理由是佩通坦與柬埔寨參議院主席洪森的通話內容涉嫌違憲及違反道德規范。
