Introduction
Additive Manufacturing (AM) has revolutionized manufacturing by enabling complex geometries, rapid prototyping, and customized production. However, emerging technologies, such as AI-driven process optimization, novel alloy development, hybrid manufacturing, and digital twins, are pushing the boundaries further. This Special Issue aims to showcase cutting-edge research, innovations, challenges and future perspectives in next-generation AM technologies.
Scope
Possible topics, within this scope, include but are not limited to:
1. Next-Generation AM Processes
Multi-material powder bed fusion technologies
Area/voxel printing high-speed AM technologies
Towards near net-zero defect AM technologies
Novel hybrid and field assisted additive manufacturing
