2025年4月6日，第十季Spelling Bee of China（SPBCN）全國總決選在廣東珠海隆重舉行，來自全國的精英選手同臺競技，現場氣氛緊張而激烈。

華愛融合學院蔣健坤（Kyle Jiang）同學沉著應戰，憑借扎實的詞匯實力與出色的臨場表現，在初中組比賽中獲得冠軍，而后又最終摘得全國無組別總冠軍！

On April 6, 2025, the Grand Final of the 10th Season SPBCN took place in Zhuhai, Guangdong. Talented students from across the country competed fiercely for the top honor.

Kyle Jiang from Huaai Preparatory Academy stood out in the Junior Division with his solid vocabulary, calm presence, and sharp focus—securing the national championship title!

本次比賽是SPBCN第十周年，所以各組競爭都無比激烈。今年的蜂芒杯也是更大更重。Kyle和Kayla同學的媽媽也無比關注著比賽的進程和孩子們場上的情況。

賽后，她回憶說道：“謝謝各位老師對他們的關注和支持，他們兩個好幸運有大家的鼓勵和關照。昨天我們都很激動，孩子真的想為學校爭光，他很開心這次終于能夢想成真。前天的小組賽，哥哥妹妹每人都經歷了5個小時的比拼，午飯都沒吃。初中小組賽下午40輪的比賽，哥哥最后眼前一片黑。哥哥組是歷年比賽中最難的一次了，連選手們體力都支撐不住了。本來以為沒希望了，因為對手們都太強了，最強的選手已經是第七次參賽了。最后的六名選手僵持不下，連評委都為難了，一輪接一輪，難分勝負。最后哥哥終于獲得小組賽冠軍，精疲力盡。

妹妹組也是競爭異常激烈，她以小組第四名入圍無組別總決賽。昨天上午的冠軍賽妹妹抽簽，第一個上場，心里非常緊張，最終獲得并列第十的成績，已經完全出乎意料了。哥哥越到后面越謹慎，因為他說華愛和成都的其他選手都離場了，只剩下他一個人，他無論如何也要頂住壓力。宣布正確的那一瞬間他終于如釋重負，感覺為學校，為成都守住了陣地，爭取到了榮譽。真的太激動了！”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of SPBCN, making the competition in every division more intense than ever. The “Bee Trophy” was also bigger and heavier than in previous years. Kyle and Kayla’s mother closely followed the progress of the competition and watched her children’s every move on stage with deep concern and pride.

After the competition, she shared her heartfelt reflections:

“I want to thank all the teachers for their care and support. The kids are truly lucky to have been surrounded by such encouragement and kindness. We were all so emotional yesterday. Kyle really wanted to win glory for the school, and he was overjoyed to finally see his dream come true.

During the group rounds the day before, both he and his sister competed for eight hours straight—without even stopping for lunch. Kyle’s Junior Division match stretched to 38 rounds in the afternoon. By the end, his vision had gone black. It was the toughest match in the history of this competition. Even the strongest contestants were physically drained. We had honestly lost hope—his opponents were incredibly strong, and the top contender was already in their seventh year of competition!

In the final six, no one could gain the upper hand. Round after round, even the judges found it hard to decide. But Kyle held on and finally emerged as the group champion—completely exhausted.

Kayla’s division was equally fierce. She finished fourth in her group, earning a spot in the mixed-division Grand Final. On the morning of the final, she drew first to go on stage. She was extremely nervous, but still managed to tie for 10th place overall—far beyond our expectations.

Kyle became even more cautious as the final rounds progressed. He told us that all the other Huaai and Chengdu contestants had already been eliminated, and he was the last one standing. He said he had to push through no matter what. When the judge finally confirmed his answer was correct, the relief on his face said it all. He felt he had defended the honor of both his school and his city. It was such an emotional moment for all of us.”

競賽簡介

Spelling Bee是全球歷史悠久的英文賽事，在美國起源于1925年，至今已有近百年歷史。作為歷史最悠久、影響力最大、參與人數最多的中小學生競賽活動，Spelling Bee被譽為“英語界的奧林匹克”。

迄今在全球有100多個國家，每年有超過3000萬學生參與該項賽事。受美國頂尖院校 “常春藤” 盟校的關注。

The Spelling Bee is a long-standing global English event that originated in the United States in 1925 and has a history of nearly a century. As the oldest, most influential, and most participated competition for primary and secondary school students, the Spelling Bee is hailed as the "Olympics of the English world."

To date, it has involved more than 100 countries globally, with over 30 million students participating each year. It has garnered attention from top-tier American universities, including Ivy League schools.
