這是霍勒迪第二次獲得該獎項獎，他在2020-21賽季效力雄鹿隊時也曾獲得該獎。
該獎項的獎杯以NBA名人堂成員喬·杜馬斯命名，旨在表彰在球場上最能體現運動精神的球員。
霍勒迪本賽季常規賽為凱爾特人出戰62場，場均能得到11.1分4.3板3.9助的數據。
