近日，微軟副董事長兼總裁 Brad Smith 在參議院聽證會上表示，出于數據安全和宣傳方面的考慮，微軟的員工不允許使用 DeepSeek 的應用程序服務。Smith 表示，出于這些擔憂，微軟也沒有將 DeepSeek 放入其應用商店。
盡管許多組織甚至國家都對 DeepSeek 施加了限制，但這是微軟首次公開此類禁令。Smith 稱，這種限制源于數據可能存儲在中國的風險，以及 DeepSeek 的回答可能會受到“中國審查”的影響。
盡管如此，但今年早些時候 DeepSeek 的 R1 模型走紅后不久，微軟就在其 Azure 云服務上提供了該模型。但這與提供 DeepSeek 的聊天機器人應用本身有點不同。由于 DeepSeek 是開源的，任何人都可以下載模型，將其存儲在自己的服務器上。
微軟在 Azure 上首次推出 DeepSeek 時也稱，DeepSeek 在被放到 Azure 上之前已經過“嚴格的紅隊測試和安全評估”。在參議院聽證會上，Smith 還表示，微軟已經設法“深入”到 DeepSeek 的 AI 模型并對其進行了“更改”它以消除“副作用”。
