On November 10th (Thursday) at 11:00 am, áunn museum is pleased to present the exhibition To Slip, To Twinkle, To Tremble, To Hover at 104, 3-9 Building. NO.60, 273 Lane, Jiaozhou Road, Shanghai. The show is co-organized by fibre, the space is provided by NOW. This exhibition explores the metaphorical language in images and symbols from the different visual style works of George Byrne and Yu Ruo-Jie.
George Byrne and Yu Ruo-Jie explored two completely different directions of "Photo Without Photoshop" in their past practice. Byrne's seemingly relaxed and commercialized composition is full of supremacist rationality and geometry; Yu Ruo-Jie's creation is gorgeous, warm, and emotional, and behind the randomness is countless active selection and careful arrangement. Images have become seemingly intuitive but full of deception and selective narrative media in the post-truth era. The image characteristics of the two artists are just like the essence of language: involving us, pronouncing, ringing, trembling, hovering, and suddenly touching us.
