本場比賽，茲維列夫還效仿斯圖加特站的薩巴倫卡，對于裁判的判罰表達不滿，并拿手機拍照而遭到警告。這一幕出現(xiàn)在弗基納局分4-5落后的發(fā)球局第一分，對手的一次網(wǎng)前推底線被電子線審判定為壓線，茲維列夫強烈要求主裁下場查看球印，但按規(guī)定主裁得以電子線審的判定為準，所以茲維列夫只能拿出手機拍下球印，好在這一分并沒有影響到茲維列夫。

隨著最后一名西班牙本土球員維多維奇·弗基納的出局，西班牙軍團在馬德里賽遭遇滑鐵盧，創(chuàng)下09年以來的最差戰(zhàn)績，他們不管是男球員還是女球員，都無人晉級16強。去年八強阿爾卡拉斯退賽、去年16強納達爾退役、去年16強托莫暫別網(wǎng)壇、2013年16強巴多薩退賽；本屆馬德里，阿爾卡拉斯和巴多薩兩位一哥一姐也都因傷退賽。
