楚原，香港武俠電影的一座大山，江湖人稱“武俠教父”。

這位教父可不是光靠名頭吃飯，人家可是真金白銀地賺到了錢，而且賺得盆滿缽滿。

怎么賺的？

靠的就是腦子！

話說1971年，楚原拍了一部叫《愛奴》的電影，砸了42萬港元進去，結果票房才58萬，妥妥的賠本買賣。

邵氏一看這架勢，差點就要把他掃地出門了。

1973年，他瞅準了古龍的《流星蝴蝶劍》，拿著自己畫的“雨中竹林對決”分鏡圖，硬是說服了邵氏的高層。

結果，這部電影只花了83萬，卻賺回了216萬！

這下，楚原算是揚眉吐氣了。

到了1976年，楚原又放了個大招——《天涯明月刀》。

片子里45秒的空中打斗戲，那叫一個精彩，看得觀眾直呼過癮。

據說，還有不少人為了再看這段打戲，又買了一張電影票。

這商業頭腦，嘖嘖，真是讓人佩服。

不過，楚原最厲害的操作，還是在1976年跟邵氏簽的那份分成協議。

除了正常的導演費，他還能拿到電影凈利潤的3.5%。

就憑這條，楚原賺得比其他導演都多。

李翰祥、張徹這些大導演，片酬也就幾萬塊，而楚原呢，除了片酬，還有分成，這差距可不是一星半點。

所以，從1968年到1985年，楚原在香港買了四套房，總價870萬港元。

就說1979年買的羅便臣道那套，現在估計值2.3億！

這可不是一般人能做到的。

當然，楚原的成功也離不開他老婆南紅。

南紅年輕的時候也是個演員，收入比老師還高。

但她嫁給楚原之后，就退居幕后，幫楚原打理工作室，一個月只拿280塊工資。

這賢內助，真是沒話說。

在邵氏拍電影，那可不是一件輕松的事。

導演每天工作14個小時是常態，劇本還得一層層審批。

楚原就因為拒絕在《楚留香》續集里給邵氏的化妝品打廣告，預算就被砍了27%。

邵氏電影產量高，但很多電影都一個套路。

據說，1976年到1985年，香港武俠片有61%都是互相抄來抄去的。

楚原的18部古龍電影，有11部都是在邵氏的清水灣片場拍的，就跟流水線作業似的。

這種高壓的生產模式，也導致了一些問題。

1988年，邵氏的片庫著火了，很多電影的底片都被燒毀了，包括楚原的《天涯明月刀》。

現在，楚原的電影只有43%是完整的。

2019年，香港國際電影節辦了個楚原電影回顧展，修復版的《愛奴》只有287個人去看。

同期的漫威電影《復仇者聯盟4》，一天就有超過1.2萬人觀看。

這差距，真是讓人唏噓。

楚原的故事，就像一部香港武俠電影，有起有落，有高潮也有低谷。

但他最終憑借自己的智慧和努力，成為了一個時代的傳奇。
