Elon Musk is leaving his government role as a top advisor to US President Trump after spearheading efforts to reduce and overhaul the federal bureaucracy.

The billionaire entrepreneur posted on Wednesday about his decision on X, his social media website.

"As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank the President for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending," he wrote. "The DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government."

另據央視新聞消息，記者當地時間5月28日獲悉，美國億萬富翁埃隆·馬斯克在談到總統特朗普的稅收與支出法案時，稱該法案削弱了他在削減美國預算赤字方面所做的努力。

馬斯克：感到失望

美國企業家埃隆·馬斯克在接受媒體采訪時表示，他對美國眾議院近期通過的大規模稅收與支出法案“感到失望”。報道稱，該法案被美國總統特朗普稱為“大而美”，并得到了特朗普的大力支持。馬斯克的表態似乎與特朗普立場相左。

Musk's departure comes one day after he criticized the centerpiece of Trump's legislative agenda, saying he was "disappointed" by what the president calls his "big, beautiful bill."

美國《華盛頓郵報》當地時間27日報道，馬斯克在接受采訪時表示，政府效率部成為了華盛頓的“替罪羊”。

特朗普自稱法案“大而美” 馬斯克質疑二者無法兼得

據悉，馬斯克在哥倫比亞廣播公司（CBS）27日播出的一檔節目中說：“說實話，我對這個大規模支出法案感到失望，它不僅沒有減少預算赤字，反而讓赤字進一步擴大，這也削弱了‘政府效率部’團隊正在進行的工作。”針對特朗普對該法案“大而美”的形容，馬斯克進一步評論說：“我認為一項法案可以是‘大’的，也可以是‘漂亮’的，但我不知道它是否能兩者兼具。”

"I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing," Musk said in an interview with CBS News.

"I think a bill can be big or it could be beautiful," Musk said. "But I don't know if it could be both."

美國國會眾議院22日以微弱優勢通過大規模稅收與支出法案，提交參議院審議。這項法案將延長特朗普在其第一個任期內于2017年通過的企業和個人減稅措施，對消費、汽車貸款等提供新的稅收減免，同時增加國防支出，并為打擊非法移民提供更多資金。法案還將取消前總統拜登推動的多項綠色能源激勵政策，并提高貧困群體獲得醫療保險和食品援助項目資格的門檻，以削減部分聯邦開支。
