理想L9定位為大型SUV，其長寬高分別為5.218米、1.998米、1.8米，整備質量為2.520噸，最大滿載為3.120噸，5門6座SUV，平均每個座位100kg，家用基本滿足；一般來說買理想的車友基本都是以家庭用車為主，他們更在意內飾和配置。
