The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand reportedly resolved to investigate the ethics of Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra regarding her recent phone call with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.

柬埔寨和泰國媒體18日報道了一段佩通坦和洪森的通話錄音，佩通坦在通話中請求洪森協助緩解兩國邊境的緊張局勢。洪森隨后在社交媒體上確認近期與佩通坦進行過通話。

Hun Sen confirmed in a social media post that he had recorded the 17-minute call on Jun 15. He said he wanted to avoid any misunderstandings and that he would give Thai authorities the complete audio file.

佩通坦隨后舉行新聞發布會，承認通話錄音屬實，但強調自己只是在試圖解決兩國邊境爭議。她還表示，通話屬于私人性質且不應被泄露。

當地時間19日，泰國總理佩通坦就其與柬埔寨參議院主席洪森的通話錄音遭泄露一事致歉，泰柬邊界爭端也因此變得更加復雜。

據泰國《國家報》19日報道，當天在與泰國軍方領導人緊急會晤后，佩通坦在新聞發布會上表示：“我必須對所發生的事情道歉，因為我真的不知道談話被錄音了。”她向公眾保證，泰國政府將與軍隊團結一致，捍衛泰國的領土完整。據泰國《曼谷郵報》19日報道，抗議者當天在泰國政府大樓附近聚集，要求佩通坦辭職。

Paetongtarn on Thursday apologised after the phone conversation was leaked. Paetongtarn said the call was made from her personal phone and she did not know the conversation would be recorded and made public. She said the government was ready to support the country's military in all ways.
