5月31日，第26屆亞洲田徑錦標賽在韓國龜尾收官，中國隊19金9銀4銅，32枚獎牌位居榜首。
最后一個比賽日決出11枚金牌，中國隊獲得女子200米、女子400米欄、女子800米、女子4X100米接力共四塊金牌以及男子撐竿跳高銀牌、女子200米銅牌，最終中國代表隊以19枚金牌9枚銀牌4枚銅牌，高居獎牌榜榜首，印度、日本分列二三。
2027年，第27屆亞錦賽，將移師中國廈門。
