“勺把筆,石板紙,熬糖汁,畫糖畫。畫條大龍飛上天,畫只公雞抖尾巴。拿在手里亮晶晶,吃到嘴里不粘牙……” 糖畫,俗稱“倒糖餅兒”,這種集民間工藝美術與美食于一體的獨特手工技藝,曾廣泛流傳于成都平原及周邊地區(qū),迄今已有500年的歷史。
"A spoon as a brush, a slate as paper, boil the syrup, paint with sugar. Draw a dragon soaring to the sky, draw a rooster shaking its tail. Held in the hand, it shines bright. In the mouth, it melts without sticking..." Sugar painting, also known as "upside-down sugar cake", is a unique folk craft that blends visual art and culinary tradition. It was once widely practiced across the Chengdu Plain and surrounding regions, with a history dating back 500 years.
糖畫不僅吸收了皮影和剪紙的表現(xiàn)手法,還蘊含著歷史、美術、地方風俗民情等元素。糖畫的制作工具簡單:一鍋、一勺、一爐、一石…… 但無論是熬糖、繪制還是粘接,對工藝的要求卻極高,爐火的溫度、糖的色澤、熬制的時間都直接考驗著糖畫人的手藝。
Sugar painting incorporates techniques from shadow puppetry and paper-cutting. It also reflects historical context, fine art, and local customs. The tools are simple: a pot, a spoon, a stove, a stone slab. Yet whether boiling the syrup, drawing the design, or assembling the final piece, the craftsmanship must be highly refined. The flame's heat, the syrup's color, and the boiling time all directly test the artist's skill.
糖畫藝人執(zhí)勺在手,靜氣凝神,以勺為筆,以糖為墨,行云流水般將勺中的糖液揮灑在光潔的大理石板上,再將新鮮的糖餅用竹簽輕輕地蘸上,待冷卻凝固,用鐵鏟將畫體和大理石板剝離開來,一個晶瑩剔透的糖畫就此完成!
The sugar painter holds the spoon with calm focus, using it like a brush and the syrup like ink. With smooth, fluid motions, they pour the syrup onto a polished marble slab. Once the sugar cools and hardens, they attach a bamboo stick to the design and gently lift the delicate creation with a metal spatula. A crystal-clear sugar painting is then complete!
