　　主講人簡介

　　自2023年12月起，金杉憲治正式擔(dān)任日本駐華特命全權(quán)大使。金杉憲治出生于1959年，1983年畢業(yè)于日本一橋大學(xué)法學(xué)部，同年進(jìn)入日本外務(wù)省工作，歷任多個(gè)重要職務(wù)，包括外務(wù)省北美局北美第二課課長、經(jīng)濟(jì)局局長、亞洲大洋洲局局長、負(fù)責(zé)經(jīng)濟(jì)事務(wù)的外務(wù)審議官等。其駐外經(jīng)歷亦非常豐富，2005年任日本國駐美國大使館參贊，2014年任日本國駐韓國大使館首席公使，2020年任日本國駐印度尼西亞特命全權(quán)大使。

　　Since the normalization of China-Japan relations in 1972, the relationship has weathered many storms but has always shown its resilience. In 2023, China and Japan reaffirmed the "strategic mutually beneficial relationship." Since 2024, high-level dialogue mechanisms have been resumed, and the two countries have reached many agreements in fields like economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. To date, China has been Japan's one of the largest trading partners, and Japan's cumulative investment in China has exceeded 130 billion US dollars. The two countries have also opened up new areas of cooperation in the digital economy, green transition, and responses to aging populations. At present, during a time of profound changes in the global landscape unseen in a century, geopolitical conflicts occur frequently, in view of this, the “Ambassador Forum” of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin Universtiy of China (RDCY) will honorably invite Kanasugi Kenji, Ambassador of Japan to China, to visit Renmin University of China and deliver a speech on June 10, 2025, exploring the future prospects and cooperative opportunities for Japan-China relations amid profound global transformations , as well as their shared mission to uphold regional stability and promote civilizational dialogue.

　　Appointed as Ambassador of Japan to China in December 2023, Kenji Kanasugi was born in 1959. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Hitotsubashi University in 1983 and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan the same year. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held pivotal roles including Director-General of the Economic Affairs Bureau, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs in charge of economic diplomacy. His overseas postings include Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan in the United States (2005), Minister/ DCM at the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Korea (2014), and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Indonesia (2020).
