On Sunday afternoon, Jin's studio confirmed via an official Weibo post: "We have contacted the kind-hearted individual who found it. Thank you for the reminders. Please refrain from disseminating pictures or details of the document." The message concluded with practical advice: "Important documents should be securely stored – avoid casually carrying them in a pocket."

Despite the quick resolution, a detail from the circulated ID photo ignited discussion among netizens. This prompted numerous questions online: "Was wearing glasses allowed for ID photos taken in 2013?"

Addressing the public query, the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau confirmed that while Jin Shijia's photo was taken 12 years ago, the standards for ID photographs at the time aligned with current regulations. Applicants are permitted to wear non-reflective glasses when taking their ID photos, a representative said.
