尊敬的各位老師，親愛的同學們：

Dear teachers and students:

大家上午好！今天我國旗下講話的主題是“語言讓我們插上思維的翅膀”。

Good morning! The topic of today is "Language gives us wings of thinking."

在西方的神話中，流傳著這樣一個故事。很久很久以前，全世界的人們都只說一種語言。當時，人們想造一座高塔，直通神界。由于沒有語言溝通的障礙，工程順利進行，造塔的壯舉眼看就要成功，這可引起了天神的恐慌。于是天神施法，打亂了人們的語言，讓大家無法再順暢交流，這雖然讓造塔工程停止了，但人們卻分散到了世界各地，繼續創造出了各自的繽紛文化。

In western, it has a story. Once upon a time, people all over the world spoke only one language. At that time, people wanted to build a tall tower to connect with the world. People lived all over the world and continued to create their own culture.

神話傳說固然有趣，在這個神話傳說背后，是否也蘊含著語言的魅力呢？

Although the myth is interesting, does it also contain the charm of language?

據統計，全世界目前明確記錄的語言有5651種。不可思議的是，研究者發現，不同的語言體系，的確造就了各民族間不同的思維方式，文化差異。甚至可以說我們的語言，真的潛移默化的影響著我們的思想。

There are many languages in the world. But people found that different language create different ways of thinking and cultural. We can say that our language influenced on our life.

我們所熟知的英語，在語法上很講究規則，不具有隨意性。這造就了歐美國家注重邏輯、注重分析、注重數據的思維方式。科學技術也因此而興盛。

We are familiar with English. In the European and American countries, people pay attention to rules in grammar. It makes the thinking mode are different. That's why their technology is advanced.

而我們的母語漢語，向來被譽為最感性的語言。這種語言讓我們的思維變得更強調經驗和感覺，它幫助我們去體味意境之美，探尋自然奧秘。讓東方的思想舉世無雙。

Our mother language Chinese, is the most emotional language. This language makes us understand the beauty of language.

愛斯基摩人的語言中描述“雪”的單詞有上千個，所以他們對雪的感受和鑒賞能力，強于世界上任何一個民族。同樣，中國表達親屬關系的詞匯為世界之最，這也塑造了我們強于他國的家庭宗族觀念。

There are thousands of words describing "snow" , so their ability to feel and appreciate snow is stronger than any other country in the world.

同樣，文學語言讓我們更好地感受詩和遠方。數學語言讓我們更直觀的去描述自然現象。英語讓我們打開了了解世界文化的大門。藝術語言讓我們對美有了更深的歌頌贊揚。

Language allows us to better feel poetry and distance.Mathematical language allows us to describe natural.English has opened the door for us to understand the world culture.The artistic language gives us a deeper appreciation of beauty.

同學們，語言的力量，遠比你想象的更加深邃浪漫。學好每一科的語言，都能為我們打開一扇探索新世界的大門。法國文學家莫里哀曾說：“語言賜于人類開啟思想的工具。”愿我們每位同學，都能在未來學習語言的道路上，塑造更多元的思想，用語言去開拓丈量世界的眼光！

Everyone, the power of language is very big. Learning each language well can open a door for us to explore the new world. I hope that every student can open your eyes to the world with language on the way of future study.
