應縣木塔是位于山西省朔州市應縣的一座古老木塔,原名佛宮寺釋迦塔,建于遼代清寧二年(1056年),已有近千年歷史,是世界上現存最古老、最高大的木結構塔式建筑,與意大利比薩斜塔、巴黎埃菲爾鐵塔并稱“世界三大奇塔”。
The Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is an ancient wooden pagoda in Yingxian County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. Originally called the Sakyamuni Pagoda of Fogong Temple, it was built in the second year of the Qingning era of the Liao Dynasty (1056 AD) and has a history of nearly 1,000 years. It is the oldest and tallest surviving wooden pagoda in the world. Along with Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa and France’s Eiffel Tower, it is known as one of the "Three Great Towers of the World."
