活動期間，主辦方為廣西籍歌手后弦、無償獻血者代表藍珂、陳革斌、羊建明、王德民、莫文智頒發“廣西壯族自治區無償獻血宣傳員”聘任證書。后弦在接受記者采訪時表示，成為無償獻血宣傳員對自己來說是一份信任，更是一份責任。未來將利用好自己歌手的身份，有機會能創作一些公益歌曲，希望大家能夠聚攏起來。活動現場，后弦還演唱了歌曲《單車戀人》，歡快熟悉的旋律響起，現場氣氛越發熱烈。

上午8時42分，隨著發令槍響，參賽者如潮水般涌出起跑線，公益熱血跑活動正式開始。公益熱血跑分為熱血競速跑和趣味健步走兩個組別，吸引了近3000名跑步愛好者踴躍報名，經過抽簽，800名無償獻血者和愛心團體代表中簽。熱血競速跑率先開跑，趣味健步走緊隨其后開啟。賽道沿線每隔2公里設置1個“熱血補給站”。專業救援隊員和志愿者也分布在全程多個點位，配備急救車和急救設備隨時待命，為參賽者保駕護航。在熱血競速跑中，獻血者伍永賢以32分29秒的成績摘得頭籌。伍永賢對記者說：“今天是世界獻血日，很榮幸能參加這次活動。我將保持強健體魄，捐獻熱血為更多生命送去希望。”

當天，設置于活動主會場的采血車吸引愛心市民駐足了解，參與無償獻血。邕城無償獻血代言人蘇曉暉、劉國康、趙丹等紛紛走上采血車，身體力行帶動更多人拯救生命。此外，現場還設置了互動嘉年華區，融合了主題展區、愛心集市、游戲互動區。記者在現場看到諸多獻血者熱情參與各項活動，歡聲笑語之間，回蕩著的是愛心凝聚的力量，更是對奉獻精神的美好詮釋。

據悉，2025年南寧中心血站榮獲第七屆“全國文明單位”榮譽稱號。2024年，南寧全市共有17.17萬人次獻血30.4萬個單位，千人口獻血率19.21‰，位居廣西首位、全國前列。2024年《南寧市無償獻血獎勵辦法》修訂施行，進一步提升無償獻血優待政策力度，完善南寧市無償獻血榮譽卡“四免多優”獎勵政策，目前近2.8萬人享受優待；南寧通過用血費用出院直免、線上報銷等便民途徑，實現“血費減免一次不用跑”，獻血者滿意度達99.85%，獻血者及近親屬優先用血、血費減免、異地用血權益得到有力保障。
