泰國憲法法院7月1日宣布，受理有關調查總理佩通坦是否存在違憲行為的請愿書，并決定即日起暫停佩通坦行使總理職權。6月中旬，佩通坦同柬埔寨參議院主席洪森關于泰柬邊境局勢的一段通話錄音流出，在泰國引發爭議。
