入秋以后，河岸邊的風漸漸帶上了涼意。太陽還未完全西沉，天邊便先染上了一層淺淺的金黃，像是誰輕輕在云朵上撒了一把碎金，暈染開去，連帶著河面也閃爍著斑駁的光點。

小鎮沿河而建，一排排粉墻黛瓦的老屋，錯落有致地倚在河邊，倒影在水里，隨著水波微微蕩漾，仿佛這鎮子本身也隨著流水輕輕呼吸著。小路鋪著青石板，被多少雙腳走得光滑透亮。偶爾有落葉被風卷起，打著旋兒落到石板上，又被調皮的風推向水邊，悄無聲息地沒入河里。

我走在這條從小走到大的河岸小路上，腳步不緊不慢，耳邊是風吹過蘆葦時發出的沙沙聲。岸邊的蘆葦已抽出長長的穗子，潔白柔軟，在晚風里搖曳，像一群等候黃昏的詩人，低聲吟唱著秋天的心事。

路過一座石橋時，橋頭的老人正擺開棋盤，與街坊對弈。下棋的是兩位老人，圍觀的是一群老人，偶有孩子跑過橋面，踩得橋身“咚咚”作響，驚飛了橋下棲息的白鷺。白鷺拍著翅膀飛過水面，留下一道優雅的弧線，很快又落在遠處的沙洲上，獨自在淺灘里踱步覓食。

夕陽把小鎮鍍成了金色，老屋的青瓦、石墻上的爬山虎、半開的木窗，都被落日的余暉照得溫暖而柔和。遠處，河對岸的炊煙已裊裊升起，一縷縷散在斜陽里，帶著柴火味，混著飯菜香，透過風傳到我鼻尖，讓人不自覺地生出幾分歸心。

我在橋中央停下腳步，扶著青石欄桿，看水面一波一波蕩開去，把天邊的殘陽與橋影揉碎。河水流得不急不緩，偶爾帶來幾片落葉，順流而下，像一封封寫了卻未寄出的信，載著秋天的私語，一路遠行。

小時候最喜歡沿著河岸追著夕陽跑，跑累了就蹲在水邊，看一群小魚繞著腳邊打轉。那時覺得這條河是多么遼闊啊，從村頭彎到村尾，從春天彎到冬天，從孩童的笑聲彎到夢里無數次浮現的家鄉。長大以后走過很多地方，看過大海與高山，看過千燈萬火的城市，也遇見過比這條河更大的河，可再沒有哪一條河，能像這里一樣裝得下我所有的童年與安寧。

傍晚時分，小鎮的街巷漸漸熱鬧起來。河岸邊的茶館里亮起了燈，昏黃的光透過雕花木窗散出來，把門口的臺階也照得暖洋洋的。幾個老人搬出竹椅，靠著墻邊慢悠悠地聊著家長里短。隔壁院子里，幾個孩子在追逐打鬧，嬉笑聲透過薄薄的院墻，傳得很遠，像極了多年前的我們。

偶爾有歸家的漁船搖搖晃晃地靠岸，槳聲“嘩啦嘩啦”攪碎一池倒影。船上掛著的漁燈亮了起來，在夜色里閃著橘色的微光，把船夫額頭的汗珠映得晶亮。漁船靠岸時，岸上的人早已提著籃子等候，買回去的是一筐新鮮的魚蝦，也是一天忙碌后最實在的煙火氣。

我慢慢順著河岸往回走，月亮已悄悄爬上柳梢，初秋的月總是格外澄澈，倒映在河面時，像是有人把銀盤輕輕放進水里，跟隨波光一點點蕩漾開。蘆葦叢里還藏著秋蟲的低吟，細碎卻悠長，與遠處茶館里傳出的評彈聲交織在一起，把這條小鎮的夜點綴得恰到好處。

快到家時，路過老街口那棵百年老槐樹，樹下的石凳早已坐滿了人，有人在說笑，有人在掰著手指頭算今年的收成。小攤販挑著擔子慢悠悠經過，吆喝聲隨著晚風傳得老遠。熟識的人們打著招呼，言語里帶著舊時光的味道，樸實，卻最動人。

推開家門時，屋里亮著暖黃的燈。母親正在廚房里忙碌，鍋里煮著魚湯，湯的香氣順著門縫鉆出來，像一只頑皮的貓，先一步把我拉回到久違的溫暖里。

夜幕緩緩垂下，小鎮安安靜靜地臥在河岸旁，任風吹過屋檐，吹動竹簾，吹散白天的熱鬧與忙碌，也吹來人間最真實的溫柔。
