牛老爺社火，是長安區(qū)引鎮(zhèn)侯官寨的村民自發(fā)組織的民間迎春風俗。
在古代農耕社會里， “春官”是皇帝派來報春的官員，歷史中“春官”的形象都是騎牛到田間報春， “牛老爺”其實是“春官”的別稱。
侯官寨社火中有個“牛老爺”，故名“牛老爺社火”
