IT之家 5 月 16 日消息，韓媒 The Elec 今天（5 月 16 日）發布博文，報道稱三星公司加速推進折疊屏設備的輕薄化設計，計劃在 Galaxy Z Fold7 以及其首款三折疊手機中，采用鈦金屬背板。
三星在 2024 年發布的 Galaxy Z Fold SE（特別版 / 超薄折疊款）中，首次引入鈦金屬材質。背板位于折疊屏幕與鉸鏈之間，起到支撐作用，靠近鉸鏈的區域經過蝕刻處理，以輔助折疊動作。
除了改用鈦金屬材質外，三星還考慮移除 digitizer（數字轉換器）組件。三星顯示（Samsung Display）作為三星的主要 OLED 供應商，正在研發無需 digitizer 的觸控筆識別技術。

IT之家援引博文介紹，digitizer 自 2021 年 Galaxy Z Fold 3 起引入，用于支持觸控筆功能。Galaxy Z Fold6 兩側內置了厚度為 0.3mm 的 digitizer，若移除這一組件，設備厚度可減少 0.6mm。
Galaxy Z Fold SE 因未配備 digitizer，折疊狀態下厚度僅為 10.6mm，比 Z Fold6（12.1mm）薄了 1.5mm。
