當地時間18日，歐盟外交與安全政策高級代表與英國、法國和德國外長一道，與伊朗外長舉行電話會談。
歐盟方面和英法德外長表達了對中東地區緊張局勢升級的擔憂，強調各方必須保持克制，避免采取可能導致局勢進一步升級的行動，并呼吁各方重回外交軌道。各方重申他們愿為伊朗核問題的外交解決方案作出貢獻，推動達成協商一致的解決辦法。
