當地時間16日，聯合國秘書長發言人辦公室呼吁以色列及胡塞武裝停止敵對行動。在人道主義援助不斷減少的情況下，以色列對也門的襲擊只會加重當地民眾的負擔與痛苦。
聯合國也進一步呼吁胡塞武裝恢復紅海海上商船航行自由，“任何升級行動只會讓局勢更加糟糕”。
