當地時間6月24日，卡塔爾首相兼外交大臣穆罕默德證實，在伊朗23日晚襲擊美國在卡塔爾的烏代德空軍基地后，伊朗總統佩澤希齊揚與卡塔爾埃米爾塔米姆通電話，佩澤希齊揚對襲擊事件表示遺憾。
佩澤希齊揚在電話中表示，伊朗對烏代德空軍基地的襲擊是對美國直接參與以色列軍事打擊伊朗行動的回應，伊朗方面的目標是美國軍事基地。（央視新聞）
