據俄新社7月12日報道，莫斯科的高溫打破了122年來的紀錄。俄福博斯氣象中心首席專家葉夫根尼·季什科韋茨宣布，莫斯科市中心的氣溫高達36.1攝氏度。
The air temperature in central Moscow warmed to 36.1 C, setting a new record for July 12, reported RIA Novosti, citing Yevgeny Tishkovets, lead specialist at the Fobos weather center.

他介紹說：“莫斯科的溫度創下122年以來的最高紀錄。國民經濟成就展覽館（VDNKh）的溫度為34.6攝氏度，市中心的巴爾丘格達到36.1攝氏度。1903年時34.5攝氏度的舊紀錄已被打破。”
"Moscow has broken a 122-year-old record. At VDNKh, it's plus 34.6 C, in the city center, plus 36.1 C. The previous record from 1903 of plus 34.5 C has fallen," he said.
此前，該市7月10日的溫度最高紀錄已被刷新——當日莫斯科錄得33.9攝氏度的高溫。
熱浪在本周初抵達莫斯科，氣溫比多年來的平均水平高出了7-8攝氏度。但氣象學家說，峰值已過，下周將逐漸降溫。預計莫斯科將出現短暫降雨和雷暴天氣。
This comes after the temperature maximum for July 10 was also updated earlier — when Moscow recorded plus 33.9 C.
