冬季六個節氣分別是立冬、小雪、大雪、冬至、小寒、大寒。

所謂“秋收冬藏”，萬物在冬季閉藏，冬季是享受豐收、休養生息的季節，所以冬季節氣的習俗大多都是與吃食和農閑生活相關。冬季除了要進補、休息，更加要注意防寒保暖。

一、“立冬”英文怎么說呢？

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Start of Winter, the 19th solar term of the year and the first solar term of winter, which means winter is coming and crops harvested in autumn should be stored up.

中國傳統農歷將一年分為24個節氣。立冬，是一年中的第十九個節氣，也是冬季的第一個節氣。這意味著冬天即將來臨，秋天收獲的莊稼要儲存起來。

二、立冬三候

Water begins to freeze – the initial stages of water bodies freezing over.

一候水始冰：水面初疑，未至于堅也。

The earth begins to harden.

二候地始凍：土氣凝寒，未至于坼。

Pheasants enter the water for clams.

三候雉入大水為蜃。

立冬的習俗

立冬的習俗除了吃餃子以外，還有吃團子、祭祀、補冬、釀酒等等。

A legend has it that at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD25-220), "Medical Saint" Zhang Zhongjing saved many people in Henan province from a typhoid epidemic and their ears from being frostbitten around Start of Winter.

相傳在東漢末年“立冬”前后，“醫圣”張仲景救了河南許多患傷寒和耳朵凍傷的人。

三、北方多地氣溫“斷崖式”下降，“暖氣”英文怎么表達？

首先，“暖氣”不是“warm air”中文里暖氣是指一種供暖設備或裝置，而不是氣象學上的暖空氣。

暖氣在英語中，英式表達為heating，美式表達為heat.

例：

Switch the heating on！I feel too cold now.

把暖氣打開，我現在感覺太冷了。

現在很多地方依舊提倡“集中供暖”，“集中供暖”的英文就是central heating.

有時，家里的暖氣片可能會壞掉，供不了暖，這里的“暖氣片”也叫“散熱器”，對應的英文是“radiator”.

另外，用暖氣就要涉及到暖氣費，在英文中我們常把“暖氣費”說成“heating costs”，而“交暖氣費”的說法則是“pay the heating bill”
