Preface
前言
The National Day holiday has come to an end,so has my time spent alone at home. During the holiday, unable to bear the loneliness, I picked up my phone with the idea of brightening my life by browsing through photos in my album. However, when I came across pictures ofgrape trellisin the courtyard, I was overwhelmed with emotion. The longing to go home reached its peak, and I couldn't help but start reminiscing about the wonderful times I spentin Xinjiang during the summer vacation.
Xinjiang is a vast expanse of land, with magnificent mountains and diverse landscapes. Every view and every dish tells a unique story of its own.

A schedule suitable for young people
My Xinjiang has a schedule suitable for contemporary young people.
The first ray of sunshine at 8:30 in the morning and the sunset glow at 8:30 in the evening are aunique kind of romance belonging soley to Xinjiang.
Every time I have to wake up early at school, I find myself missing Xinjiang's daily rhythm.Staying up late boldy and sleeping in guilt-free.Xinjiang's time difference is tailored for today's night owls.
Getting up at 9 o 'clock in the morning, with a bowl of hot milk tea and a delicious naan,a beautiful day in Xinjiang kicks off.

On hot afternoons, sitting in the "luxury palace",enjoying the air conditioning, and scooping out a sweetand juicy watermelon was my summer routine.Without door temperatures reaching over 40 degrees celcius, few people will stay outside unless they want to experience getting tanned.
There is another very romantic thing in Xinjiang - watching the sunset twice a day. After seeing the sunset in the easternmost city,Hami,if you are fast enough, you can catch it again in Kashgar.
As the sun slowly glides toward the horizon, leaving a golden red shadow in the sky, Xinjiang's night life begins to unfold. When it gets dark and the heat of the day fades, the whole city becomes dynamic.
Streets and alleyways are dotted with warm lights, mixed with shouts, laughter and sometimes a group of people performing Sama dance (a unique folk dance form in which people form a circle and march slowly while the music plays), adding a dynamic charm to the night life.
Strolling through the night streets with a few friends, savoring the aroma of lamb skewers, enjoying sour and sweet flavour of yogurt shaved ice,and returning home at 11pm,only to find the calendar flipping to a new day before drfting off sleep - what a blissful experience that is!
All-encompassing sceneries
My Xinjiang boasts 1.66 million square kilometers of vast land, covering various natural landscapes and cultural scenes.
Lush forests, endless snow-capped mountains, verdant grasslands, blue rippling lakes, boundless deserts, and deep, precipitous gorges... every single form of scenery can be found in Xinjiang.
Autumn has arrived, bringing with it another golden spectacle - Xinjiang's iconic Populus euphratica forests. The leaves transitionfrom green to yellow and then to vibrant red, painting the landscape in breathtaking layers of colours.
Xinjiang is the perfect sanctuary for experiencing the magnificant craftmentship of nature. There are countless beautiful sceneries here, leaving visitors enchated at every turn.
Beyond its natural beauty,my Xinjiang is rich in vibrant cultural heritage, with bazaars being the most direct embodiment of its unique charm.
In Kashgar, Hotan and other regions, every county and city has a bazaar day.
When I was a child,my highlight of the week was eagerly anticipating bazaar day to eat some delicious food. As I've grown older, visiting bazaar has become a way to immerse myself in the local city atmosphere.

Unlike the traditional notion of a market, the bazaar here operates on a strict time cycle, usually arranged weekly, with seven days as a time cycle, and everyday can be a bazaar day.
This means that different towns or counties can share the same bazaar day, and within a region, there can be different bazaars rotating and appear on different days.
The bazaar is also an important occasion for cultural exchangeand to meet people from different regions. On bazaar days, merchants trvale between countires, setting up shops according to different places' bazaar day.
I remembered a few years ago, when I went with my mother to buy fabrics, we struck up a conversation with stall owner and noticed his accent was diffrerent from ours. It as only later I learned he was from Atush.

In this open-air market, people are everywhere: those on the move, those observing, those guarding their goods, those making transactions, those chatting and eating, etc.

A bazaar is usually divided into certain sections:livestock trading section, clothing, shoes and hats section, crafts section, miscellaneous goods section, fruits section, foods section and so on.
In the livestock trading section, a few lambsare huddled together, tethered by their owners with ropes.Their weak voices are drowned out by the shuffle of the crowd, blending with sounds of vendors shouting and bargaining.
The clothing section is filled with vibrant etlas silk and hand-embroideredgarments, while in the food section, the irresistible aroma of grilled l am bskewer swafts through the air. These are all essential parts of the bazaar that I deeply miss.
My Xinjiang is filled with food that is impossible to eat enough of.
For a seasoned foodie, the various delicacies in Xinjiang are undoubtedly the greatest temptation for the tongue and taste buds!
When it comes to Xinjiang cuisine, the first thing that comes to mind is naan. White naan, girda naan, and onion naan are all essential items on the dining table for people in Xinjiang.
In Xinjiang, there is a saying: "One can go a day without vegetables, but never without naan." This highlights the high status of this flavorful and aromatic food in people's hearts.
Lagman, another staple food for people from Xinjiang, appears frequently on the dining table.
In simple terms,Lagman is "vegetable on noodles".The dough is skillfully stretched by the chef into evenly-sized noodles. After boiling, the noodles are rinsed and topped with stir-fried vegetables, creating a delicious dish that’s both savory and satisfying.
The lamb is slaughtered, skewered, and grilled right before your eyes.As they sizzle on the charcoal grill, the meat, seasoned with salt water and spices, filling the air with a mouth watering aroma and making every passer by drool like crazy.
In Xinjiang, every lamb is put to good use. There is not just lambskewers, but also grilled lamb chops, whole roasted lamb, tandoor meat, bakedlambbuns, and slow-cooked lamb- all are honoured guests at the table.
One popular dish is rice sausages, where rice, diced meat, carrots, and other ingredients are stuffed into lamb in testines and boiled, and mianfeizi, a dish made by stuffing dough into lamb lungs and boiling it.
Although noodles hold an important place in the diet of people from Xinjiang, hand-pulled rice also has its own spot.
Every grain of rice absords the essence of the lamb and the sweetness of the carrots, and fter a long simmer, the lamb becomes sextremely tender. Just a gentle bite and the meatmelts in your mouth, bursting with flavours.
Large plate chicken, greasy meat with noodles, naren, liangpi, mutton chop, youtazi, roast pigeon, pepper chicken... Xinjiang has countless delicacies, andthey never lose their appeals no matter how often you eat them.
Thanks to the large temperature difference between day and night, Xinjiang's fruits and melons are also highly favored by friends from all over the country.
"Turpan's grapes,Hami's melons,Korla's gragrant pears with no pulp;the pomegranates of Yecheng are praised by all,and the white apricots of Kuqast and tall;Atush's figsare quite renowned, and Jiashi's melons can't be out done;Ili's applesare top-notch,and the cherries in Kashgar can be picked in handfuls;Hotan's thin-skinned walnuts need no crack, and the watermelons from the fields are sweet and juicy. With fruits all year round, in Xinjiang, you won‘t miss home, you'll feel at home." This well-known rhyme captures the different fruits from various regions in Xinjiang.

Sitting under the grape trellis, enjoying the cool breeze while eating Hami melons, with a table spread with bright red pomegranates, colorful figs(known as "sugar buns from the tree"),badams and walnuts. This relaxed, leisurely lifestyle is the daily routine for the people of Xinjiang.
