會議介紹

因果推斷作為數據科學的重要分支，廣泛應用于醫學、經濟學、社會科學、金融等領域。隨著大數據、人工智能、機器學習技術的快速發展，尤其是大語言模型在因果推斷領域的應用備受關注，因果推斷在科學、技術與工業界面臨前所未有的機遇與挑戰。

泛太平洋因果推斷大會（Pacific Causal Inference Conference, PCIC）由北京大學講席教授、公共衛生學院生物統計系主任、北京國際數學研究中心生物統計與信息研究室主任周曉華博士于2019年發起，已成為因果科學領域一年一度的重要學術盛會。自2019年至2024年，PCIC已在北京、上海成功舉辦六屆；2024年，PCIC在世界人工智能大會（WAIC）期間同步舉辦因果推斷論壇，進一步擴大了學術影響力，現已發展為因果推斷領域的重要國際會議。

Causal inference, a key branch of data science, is widely applied across fields like medicine, economics, social sciences, and finance. With rapid advancements in big data, AI, and machine learning—especially the integration of large language models—its applications in science, technology, and industry are growing fast, presenting both new opportunities and challenges.

Founded in 2019 by Dr. Xiao-Hua Zhou, Distinguished Chair Professor at Peking University, the Pacific Causal Inference Conference (PCIC) has become a leading annual event in causal science. It explores the latest developments in causal inference and has successfully held six editions in Beijing and Shanghai from 2019 to 2024. In 2024, the conference expanded by hosting the Causal Inference Forum at the World AI Conference (WAIC), further solidifying its position in the field.
