近日，一件發生在四川省遂寧市 船山區桂花鎮的“烏龍”事件，讓民警與三名小學生之間產生了動人的“雙向奔赴”。

A recent incident of misidentification in a small town in Suining city, Sichuan province, has led to a heartwarming story between local police and three primary school students, highlighting a strong sense of civic responsibility and community trust.

5月24日下午，彭同學、 李同學 和 潘同學三名小學生在當地一 小區附近玩耍時被幾株外形奇特的植物吸引住了。這些植物花朵鮮艷、果實飽滿，其特征與他們在學校禁毒宣傳課上學到的罌粟極為相似。

On the afternoon of May 24, the three young students, surnamed Peng, Li and Pan, spotted several unusual plants with bright flowers and plump seed pods while playing near a residential area in Guihua town, Chuanshan district. The plants' features closely resembled opium poppies, which they had learned about during their school's anti-drug awareness sessions.

“老師和警察叔叔說過，發現奇怪植物要立刻報告！”聯想到平時老師和警察的教導，三人采摘下幾株完整的枝葉與花朵，手寫了一封“舉報信”，用作業紙包好塞進書包。

他們一起來到船山公安分局桂花派出所，將信與植物一起放在派出所門口附近的地面上。

Remembering the advice of their teachers and police officers to report suspicious plants, the trio carefully picked samples of the leaves and flowers, wrapped them in a piece of notebook paper, and placed the handwritten tip-off letter near the entrance of the Guihua Police Station.

民輔警發現“舉報信”后，便將該植物拿去做專業鑒定并進行實地查驗。經鑒定，這些植物是虞美人，雖與罌粟同屬罌粟科，但不含毒品成分，常作為觀賞花卉種植。

Upon discovering the letter, officers sent the plant samples for professional identification and conducted an on-site inspection. The results confirmed that the plants were corn poppies, a non-toxic ornamental flower that belongs to the same family as opium poppies but lacks narcotic properties.

盡管“虛驚一場”，但這種安全意識值得表揚。5月30日，派出所民警與鎮政府工作人員走進三名同學所在的小學，舉辦了一場特別的表彰儀式。

民警和老師在全班同學面前為彭同學、李同學和潘同學三人豎起大拇指：“你們用一封信守護了整個社區的安全！”隨后將禮物送到三人手中。

Though it turned out to be a false alarm, the children's vigilance left a deep impression. On May 30, officers and local government officials visited the trio's school to hold a special recognition ceremony. In front of their classmates, the three students were applauded for their sense of responsibility.

為了回應三位小同學手寫的“舉報信”，民警還將一封表揚信交給學校，對他們發現疑似罌粟的植物并及時舉報涉毒線索，積極參與全民禁毒活動的行為提出表揚。

為讓這份“警惕性”生根發芽，民警借此機會還在學校開展了禁毒專題科普。對比講解了罌粟與虞美人的區別：罌粟莖稈光滑帶白粉，葉片寬大，果實頂端無絨毛。虞美人莖稈有糙毛，葉片分裂更細，果實頂端有放射狀絨毛。

民警現場展示了毒品原植物圖片，強調“識毒防毒”的關鍵在于“多看、多問、多報告”。

雖然花認錯了，但責任心錯不了。這場充滿暖意的表揚與回饋，既讓更多學生學會了精準辨識植物，又傳遞了“禁毒無小事，報告即擔當”的責任意識。

Although the flowers were misidentified, the students' sense of duty was unmistakable. This heartwarming exchange has planted seeds of safety and responsibility in the children's hearts, and has inspired their peers to remain vigilant.
