杜金城寫道：“特雷沃-湯普森已經自宣加盟青島男籃，第四外援不出意外會是CBA‘老熟人’約瑟夫-楊，早早湊齊四外援。”
上賽季，湯普森代表深圳隊出戰34場，場均得到15.4分10.9板1.4助1.9帽。約瑟夫-楊上賽季效力于福建，出戰40場，場均23.7分2.9板4.9助1.6斷。
此前，青島已經與米奇和韋瑟斯龐完成續約。
