當地時間22日，以色列全體內閣會議通過了釋放150名巴勒斯坦囚犯，換取10月7日在伊斯蘭武裝政派哈馬斯襲擊以色列時綁架的240多名人質中的約50名人質協商案。另外，根據本次協商，雙方在開戰46天后決定停火4天。

這也是歷史上，以色列得到的，最好的一次人質交易。上一次是用1000名巴勒斯坦人換回1個以色列軍人。
