7月15日，記者采訪成都華希昆蟲博物館館長趙力了解到，視頻中不是蟑螂，而是覆翅螽（zhōng），成蟲體長6-8厘米，觸須長度可達12厘米。
覆翅螽在西南一帶廣泛分布，對人沒有攻擊性，但有趨光性，可能在晚上飛入室內。
