據The Athletic的消息，若巴薩不買斷拉什福德，無需向曼聯支付500萬歐的罰款。
報道稱，巴薩以租借方式簽下拉什福德，他渴望加盟巴薩以至于同意接受15%至25%的減薪（具體取決于獎金等因素）。曼聯方面不承擔他的任何工資，拉什福德在巴薩的稅前年薪約為1400萬歐元（不含獎金）。
協議中包含一項3000萬歐元的賽季末買斷條款，而與其他媒體報道相反的是，若巴薩不激活該條款，無需支付500萬歐元的罰金。
