多諾萬自2020-21賽季接任公牛隊主教練，帶隊期間取得了195勝205負。
多諾萬此前簽訂的續約合同還剩一年，該合約在2022-23賽季開始前就已敲定，但直到當賽季11月下旬才正式官宣。
