在剛果（金）東部崎嶇的火山丘陵之間，薩凱鎮靜靜地承受著戰爭留下的創傷。這座小鎮曾是通往附近礦區的交通節點，也曾是13萬人賴以為生的家園。如今，戰爭雖暫時平息，但返鄉平民回歸正常生活之路布滿荊棘。
