Most of the subjects would probably never have given much thought to odour as a cue for identifying family members before being involved in the test, but as the experiment revealed, even when not consciously considered, smells register.(劍8 Test2 Passage3)

1）結構分析

層次一：

主句：Most of the subjects would never.... as a cue,but smells register

修飾①：for ...test【介短定語，修飾migration】

修飾②：as....revealed【as定從，but后整個句子，表正如....】

修飾③：even when........considered【even when狀從，修飾but后主句，表讓步】

結構總結：主句+介短+定從+狀從

2）譯文分析：紅體字代表主干，括號代表修飾，大括號包括小括號

雖然大部分實驗對象（在沒有參加實驗之前）從沒有想過用氣味識別家庭成員，但是（正如實驗揭示的），（即使沒有這樣的意識），氣味仍然會給人留下印象

結構總結：主句+done【嵌套定從】+介短
