廣東省劃分了5個都市圈，一個是廣州都市圈，范圍包括廣州、佛山全域及肇慶的端州區(qū)、鼎湖區(qū)、高要市、四會市，清遠的清城區(qū)、清新區(qū)、佛岡縣。一個是深圳都市圈，包括深圳、惠州全域及深汕合作區(qū)。一個是珠江西口岸都市圈包括珠海、中山、江門、陽江。一個是湛茂都市圈，包括湛江、茂名。一個是潮汕揭都市圈包括潮汕、汕頭、揭陽。

5個都市圈幾乎包括了廣東省的絕大部分的城市，但汕尾、梅州、河源、韶關(guān)、云浮5個城市沒有涵蓋其中。

其中尤為值得關(guān)注的是廣州都市圈，這個都市圈的定位是一體化，實際上就是把廣州都市圈范圍作為一個區(qū)域來謀劃，在這個區(qū)域里，無論是交通、教育、醫(yī)療等都是一體化，形成一小時的交通都市圈。因此，在這個都市圈范圍的人都可以稱之為廣州人。

The particularly noteworthy one is the Guangzhou Metropolitan Area. The positioning of this metropolitan area is integration, which is essentially planning the scope of the Guangzhou Metropolitan Area as a region. Within this region, whether it's transportation, education, healthcare, etc., they are all integrated to form an hour-long transportation metropolitan area. Therefore, people within the scope of this metropolitan area can be referred to as Guangzhou residents.

廣州，老廣州的區(qū)域僅僅是荔灣，后來擴大到越秀區(qū)、海珠區(qū)，其他的那些天河區(qū)、花都區(qū)、黃浦區(qū)、番禺區(qū)及后來的從化區(qū)、增城區(qū)、南沙區(qū)距離老廣州是很遠的。

因此以廣州荔灣區(qū)及廣州的源頭區(qū)為核心點發(fā)散，佛山的順德區(qū)、南海區(qū)、禪城區(qū)及清遠的清城區(qū)是當之無愧的廣州核心區(qū)。

尤其值得重點關(guān)注的清遠清城區(qū)，距離廣州白云機場僅有60公里，距離新建成正式通車的亞洲最大的火車站廣州白云站70公里，距離比之廣州南沙、番禺、增城、從化都要近了很多。

白云機場已經(jīng)開通的城際僅有廣清城際，不出機場就可以城際直達清城區(qū)，白云火車站首條城際亦是廣清城際，廣清城際北延線已經(jīng)跨過北江。從這個角度看，白云機場和白云火車站給清城區(qū)提供了極大的交通便捷。

廣州都市圈是要打造國家級的城市一體化樣本，廣佛一體化是目前國內(nèi)最成功的一體化，廣清一體化正在扎實的推進，廣州都市圈的人都是廣州人。
