Safety and security
這兩個詞常常被搞混，今天就來徹底把它們搞清楚。
Safety 是指個人得到保護不受危險和傷害的狀態，可以理解成“安全、安危”，比如你采取的一些safety measures來避免受到傷害；而security是采取措施保障人身安全或財產安全，是來自外部的保護措施以保障內部的安全等等，包括國家安全national security, 網絡安全cybersecurity, 飯碗安全job security…
我們來看下面的例子：
1. Did you think about safety when you moved to that neighborhood? 這里用safety是指自身的安全。
2. Yes, I did. Luckily, there is a security guard at the front door of the apartment. 這里用security guard 是指外部的保安。
