根據《中華人民共和國刑法》第一百一十五條規定，放火、決水、爆炸以及投放毒害性、放射性、傳染病病原體等物質或者以其他危險方法致人重傷、死亡或者使公私財產遭受重大損失的，處十年以上有期徒刑、無期徒刑或者死刑。
過失犯前款罪的，處三年以上七年以下有期徒刑；情節較輕的，處三年以下有期徒刑或者拘役。
