整個度假村秉持“與自然共呼吸”的設計主旨，在運用“以舊修舊”設計手法的同時，借助露臺、屋頂等的構建，營造出從幽遠深邃到豁然開朗的空間視野，把“隱世”“放松”的意境與氛圍融入空間之中。另外，三十六院溪圍繞生花書院、懸崖泳池、礦坑溫泉、森林兒童樂園以及半山酒場等場景，構建起一個以在地特色為核心的松弛度假體系。在這個空間里衍生出的歷史傳承文化活動，包括頌缽、書法、陶瓷、寫生、太極、雕刻以及森林植物手作等，通過“五感”開啟身心覺知，為旅居人士尋得城市之外的情感寄托，也就是對簡單生活的熱切向往以及對自然環境的極致追求。

項目對40余棟古村落民居進行了改建，總面積達18000平方米。其中，按照奢華標準打造住宿空間，設有眾多客房，平均每棟院子的面積約為190平方米，每間客房的面積約為50平方米。另外10棟則用作配套服務設施，包括接待中心、山頂會議中心、生花書院、懸崖咖啡廳、崖壁健身中心等功能區，以及生態農場、礦坑溫泉、森林兒童樂園等眾多戶外娛樂體驗場景。此外，還配備了36600平方米的生態停車場、71067平方米的森林氧吧公園和87467平方米的高山戶外拓展區。置身此地，仿佛能追溯八百年的記憶，安靜地聆聽溪水潺潺流淌的聲音，沿途喚醒花草。
