你現在看你家那二哈、金毛、柯基、貴賓……一個比一個會撒嬌，一個比一個不會看家。

你很難想象，它們的祖宗，居然是正兒八經的野生灰狼，靠咬死獵物混飯吃的狠角色。

狗，是怎么從“狼外號”變成“狗名正言順”的？

先說個結論：狗是狼馴化來的，科學家基本都認了。但**“啥時候開始馴的”**這事兒，一直眾說紛紜。

最保守的說法，是差不多1.6萬年前，人類剛從狩獵采集慢慢往種地轉型的時候，狗子開始當上“看門+陪跑+吃剩飯”三合一職員。

但有的考古大發現，直接把時間線拽回去了，說狗的祖宗可能在3.3萬甚至4萬年前就開始在篝火旁邊蹭吃蹭喝了。比如2015年，西伯利亞挖出個3.5萬年前的狼骨頭，DNA一測，竟然跟現代狗有點像，嚇得專家趕緊加了個詞：“早期馴化跡象”。

這下懂了吧？考古學家現在也是“誰挖到誰說話”。

狗到底是哪里人？科學家：可能是雙戶口

關于狗的老家，那是眾說紛紜、三國鼎立。

? 東亞說：中國人當然不認慫，靠著“線粒體DNA多樣性高”這招，拍胸脯說：狗最早就是咱南方這邊馴的！

? 歐洲說：不服？歐洲人說，我們這邊古狼DNA跟現在狗更像，說不定狗是在我們森林里蹦跶出來的。

? 中東說：別吵別吵，中東考古學家舉著農業起源的旗子說：人剛種地那陣兒，狗也正好開始混進來，蹭的就是農家飯。

結果2016年又有人跳出來說：你們都對，也都不全對——狗可能是東西各馴一次，然后東邊那撥兒“卷”贏了，直接把西邊的種群取而代之，打了個“基因翻盤”。

行吧，狗子是真能跑，一邊跟人類浪跡天涯，一邊把自己的親戚淘汰光了。

狼是怎么變狗的？不是訓練，而是自然選“舔”

你可能以為是人類像訓熊一樣訓狼——“坐下、握手、別咬我！”但其實不是。

狗的祖宗可能是“最先不要臉的那群狼”：人類篝火邊吃飯，它們不怕生、也不嚇人，慢慢混熟了。久而久之，膽大的狼越來越能吃上飯，膽小的餓肚子。

于是，一場“舔得多、活得久”的自然選擇開始了。幾代狼下來，那些性格穩、對人親、沒事搖尾巴的家伙，就成了第一代“人類朋友”。

科學家還發現，這些狗子體內的“淀粉酶基因”比狼多很多，意思就是它們能消化人類做的飯，飯量、飯性都靠得住。你看，能吃剩飯也是進化優勢。

寫在最后：舔得好，活得久，舔出新物種

其實，狗是地球上最成功的“混社會高手”。

它不靠武力、不靠智商，就靠一個“貼貼”本能，硬是混成了人類最忠實的伙伴。別說陪你過馬路、上山下海、送快遞、當導盲犬，關鍵是還不抱怨。

所以你看，當年那只舔著舔著就被收編的狼，現在已經變成了家里搶被子、舔你腳丫子的狗子。

我們管這個過程叫“馴化”，它自己估計叫：“舔到最后就是我家。”
