海關發布消息，1月8日，長春龍嘉機場海關在對出境航班行李物品監管過程中，查獲1名旅客將裝滿現金的襪子縫制在外套內側違規攜帶美元現金，經現場關員清點，共計16.7萬美元，折合人民幣120.04萬元。目前已按相關規定進行后續處置。
海關法專業資深律師吳國雄（深圳）稱：
事主采取藏匿等逃避海關監管的方式，其行為一般會定性為走私，涉案外幣可能會被沒收。
